What's a good way to season tofu?

I don't cook.... so I don't want to add tofu to a ';dish'; because I seriously DO NOT cook. Everything I find about tofu they want you to add it to this elaborate recipe. So not for me. I've tried seasoning the tofu with various different Mrs. Dash, and ranch. But that's so boring. Are there any other super easy ways to season, or make tofu better on its own, and how do you prepare it?What's a good way to season tofu?
Look in the natural food stores for seasoning blends made especially for tofu; besides marinades and rubs, there are simple blends to make tofu mimic scrambled eggs and egg salad.

Pre-marinated tofus are all around; Oriental markets will have a fair variety on hand, shelf-stable, refrigerated, and made in-store.

For another change of pace - and if you don't mind the extra oil - try fried tofu; puffy, chewy, not at all slippery, it's like a whole different vegetable - and I think it absorbs flavors better. Oriental markets are your best bet to find it, frozen and refrigerated.

Tempeh (soybeans inoculated with fungus )? Try it; it's not at all stinky, and the taste is mild. Chop it up in a stir-fry.What's a good way to season tofu?
I personally love asian food so I normally just throw a few cubes of tofu in a frying pan with a little bit of oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds, a dash of sugar and maybe some fresh garlic or garlic powder or if you want it to be really easy you could just buy a bottle of teriyaki sauce. Just fry it on med-high for until the sides are browned. If you like curry you can add curry powder to the tofu. Another great quick recipe in which you dont have to cook is a tofu salad. Go to the asian isle at the grocery store and pick up a bottle of sesame dressing. Its an off white color. Just cut up some lettuce, tomato slices and tofu and add the dressing. You can also make ';egg mcmuffins'; with tofu instead of using eggs. Fry a thick slice of tofu on both sides, add it to the toasted english muffin with a slice of cheese and some veggie sausage or bologna.
Just yesterday I made tofu the following way:

Cut the tofu in strips

Add olive oil to the surface

Rub a little mince garlic

Season with salt and pepper

I then placed in a ';grill-like'; pan and seared it for a couple of minutes each side. It was very tasty and had wonderful texture too.
Bottle marinates are very good and come in many different varieties. In spring and summer try fresh herbs such as basil, oregano, rosemary. If you grill it that gives a good texure. Hope this helps
marinate it in like a little bit of lemon juice, pepper, salt, garlic/onion powder than put it in a skillet and fry it till its brown serve over rice
