Some ways to cook tofu?

I recently had to go vegan for health reasons and I have no idea how or what to cook tofu with!

Does anyone have any tasty ideas? Some ways to cook tofu?
ok, first of all you should ALWAYS marinate tofu, if not with a marinade you make at least with soy sauce. It just makes it taste 10 times better. that said, you don't need to soak it in soy sauce, slice it up and just a few drops will do the trick. Too salty=not healty! :)

my fav tofu marinade is a mix of soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, cayenne pepper, black pepper, onion powder, parsley, sweet smoked paprika, normal paprika, a touch of tomato paste and a sprinkle of olive oil.

I marinate it for at least an hour then i normally cook it on one of these grilling pans or in a non-stick pan, barely oiled with your fingers like you would do to grease a baking dish so it's not too greasy.

You can also put it in a curry with some mix vegs, or stir fry it with vegs and eat it with boiled rice or noodles.

sorry the recipe doesn't have any quantities specified but like my mum i never measure anything, i just taste! :)Some ways to cook tofu?
will you please !

what tofu ?
I'm a level 5 vegan, I don't eat anything that casts a shadow.
deep fry, steam

mix it with some vegetable sauce
Hi, try any of these 'Paneer' Recipes. Just replace Paneer with Tofu. They taste and look same. Paneer is Indian Cottage Cheese.

I simmer it in a tasty broth (firm silken): 2T shoyu/liquid aminos, 1T mirin, some chilli paste or oil, a bit of toasted sesame oil, some pickled ginger and a bit of garlic. Dilute by 50% with water. Pour over tofu %26amp; simmer until most of the broth is gone (I'll toss in a few veggies, too). Throw that and the remaining broth over some rice!! Mmmmm! So addictive!! :D
Tofu is probably the most versatile food you can find.

With a firm tofu you will want to press it (to remove excess water) marinated it and fry, sautee, broil, grill or bake it.

You can also eat tofu raw if you so desire.

With Silken or soft tofu you can blend it into sauces or smoothies, bake with it as an egg subsistitute or flavor it and eat it like pudding.
You can cook with tofu in so many ways. My personal favorite is spinach %26amp; tofu lasagna, vegetable %26amp; tofu stir fry, tofu enchiladas, and tofu pot stickers. I would highly recommend you get a tofu cookbook or check out http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/Category:T鈥?/a> to get tofu recipes online. Have fun experimenting.
I keep my tofu in the freezer--freezing it changes the texture and makes it chewier. See my profile for tofu tips.

And check out www.vegweb.com for some really great recipes.

I don't marinate it, as tofu can soak up flavors like a sponge, especially if you press all the water out.

Fried, Boil, No cooking, Tofu curry. lol.
Tofu is a wonderful filler because it'll take on the flavor of whatever you're cooking it with.

The most unhealthy but most tasty (to me) is to deep fry the tofu. Steamed tofu is prob the most healthy option. You can add a lot of flavor by marinating the tofu first.

If you're using a less firm tofu, you can use it to replace cheeses in italian food, pudding, smoothie, etc.

Also try making a homemade tofurky or use in indian food to replace paneer. Yum!
