Tofu Nasty I would never feed my child soy bean blobs.Food for my 10 month old .. ideas?
At 10 months he can have just about any type of food. Give him what u eat.
Although I heard that tofu is a good finger food as well, I never gave my son that. He will be 1 in a couple weeks and has 2 teeth (that JUST came in...). We basically give him what we eat for meals. Hotdishes are pretty simple, toast--and you can put like gerber stage 2 fruit on it so it isn't so sugary, spaghetti, grilled cheese, tuna casserole, pancakes etc. The only time we don't give him what we have is if it's spicy or too seasoned, or if we eat something that isn't really healthy-LOL! For finger foods-he loves all the gerber stuff--puffs, yogurt melts etc. Cheerios, rice krispies.....there are so many options! Good luck! Have fun with it!
Have you tried Gerber Graduates Pasta Pick-Ups or Lil'Entrees or the other meals they have in the round containers? I started my son on those around 10-11 months and they have a great variety of meals. They are nutritious too. But at 10 months he can probably eat anything you already eat. You could offer YoBaby yogurt if he hasn't had it already. My 15 month old son loves that! You could also probably try giving him slices of bananas, pancakes or waffles cut up into small pieces, eggs, grilled cheese, mac-n-cheese, spagetti, mashed potatoes, etc.
mix the tofu with mac and cheese, that always works for us

Buy some panku bread crumbs from the asian food section of the grocery store and bread the tofu, fry it in olive oil so the baby can get omega 3s for the brain growth

puree the tofu with babys favorite fruit

make the hole on the bottle a little bigger and blend small amounts of tofu in the milk, sorta like a milkshake and add in a sweetner such as strawberry jam, that sounds like a treat doesnt it

take the tofu and shred it in tiny crumbs and put it in the sandwhich

u can cook tofu by steaming it with a double boiler, fry it, or grill it. it holds a lot of water so soak it in paper towels before frying, only use olive oil when frying for a baby. other oils have no benefits
I love this website. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/

I've got a lot of ideas here. I love their sweet potato fries recipe.

My little ones fav's right now: (10 months)

watermelon

bananas

yobaby yogurt

pea's

veggie burgers, cut small

steamed carrots, i buy the frozen round ones and cut them in 4's

cheerios

Jello

Those snack pack fruits (like canned fruit) in water not syrup

pancakes

macaroni and cheese

pastina pasta, w/butter

farina, w/butter and a pinch of sugar

I buy organic and whole wheat or grain as much as possible but I don't make myself to crazy. Oh yeah I don't do sugar free at all if they have artificial sweeteners, ever!

WOW REALLY, A THUMBS DOWN ABOUT WHAT I'M FEED MY SON???? WTH???
Tofu will take on the flavor of whatever you cook so you can pretty much mix it with anything and it will taste like whatever you cook it with.

However, it doesn't even need to be cooked, it can just be eaten raw mixed in stuff such as pasta salad.

You can make little toast pizzas and cut them into bite sized pieces (toast a piece of bread, put tomato sauce on it, then whatever veggie (or tofu!) and then cheese and bake for 10 minutes or so), mac and cheese and mix some chopped spinach in with it, steamed broccoli with cheese, cottage cheese mixed with fruit, yogurt mixed with fruit, pasta mixed with tomato sauce and any veggie, pasta salad, tuna salad, soup, steamed butternut squash, steamed any veggie, rice and beans, etc.
you don't have to cook tofu, although it does take on whatever flavor it is cooked with.. use it in place of scrambled eggs.

also, get some chicken breast and clean it very well and boil it plain..

when it is done, take out of pot and cube into pieces, (set aside)

add some slices carrots, celery, and potato..

if you wish you can add just a little chicken soup flavor(knorr)

when vegetables are ready add cooked chicken, this is easy kiddie soup all natural( especially if you don't add the knorr)

this soup can be frozen in servings, or used all week for lunch or dinner.

make sure to cut the vegs/chicken in small pieces..

hope this helps you a bit, also wee ones love eggs, you can scramble them for breakfast or lunch..

try making a hard omelet, with toast, then cut in pieces for your baby to feed their self.

ps: a lot of people use gerber but you are not missing anything.. you can make your own gerber by steaming vegatables, and mashing them yourself.. you can also find a web site to help you..

BE WELL-TR
Springtime Ham and Egg Bake is a great finger food for breakfast or anytime of the day. Google it. My 10 mo old had eaten it every day for 2 months and loves it. Super easy and freezes well, make in muffin tins and microwave as needed.. Very Healthy
