So my doctor told me to eat 500-800 calories a day?!ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how can i possibly do this?!!?

okay so heres the regular gameplan:

breakfast: 2 fullsize pizzas a plateful of waffels/panckaes, a bowl of cereal, a coupple of poptarts, a spicy breakfast burito and a coupple of organic sodas and a slimquick appitite supprecent

brunch: cinamon bun (one of the nice grapefruit sized ones) tea with a teacake, mac and cheese, yogurt with fresh fruit, some not so organic sodas and chips with salsa or sourcream (or yogurt as a substitute)

lunch: a coupple of subway fotlongs with no meat (im a vegitarian) a begal and cream cheese, part of the other nights dinner leftovers, fruit juice (i find it really groos to just drink plain water) and possibly a popsicle if the day is really hot.(or a smoothie withn slimquick appite supprecent)

afternoon snack:

peanutbutter with celery, or lofat cream cheese with celery, a garden salad, veggie chicken nuggets with ketchup, lofat slices of mozerella cheese with some tomato, a bowl of mac and cheese

6pm snack:

2-3 granola bars, a bag or two of pitachips/healthy stuff from trader joes

some garlic bread and rice with beans mushrooms celery and veggiepork, slimquick appitite supprecent ( whenever i drink the slimquick i do eat it before i start eating, or within the first 20 bites of my meal and drink it with the meal, throughtiout the meal)



dinner: a lasagna, veggie burger, slimquick, whole foods sweet potato orgnaic frifrieses, an egg spread on whole wheat toast, veggie corndog, potato salad, some nuts, fruit salad, scones, some quinoa or couscous with grilled tofu taop, fruit juice or organcic soda thne ravoili and some kind of epasta- spagetti or linguini or mac and cheese, then desert is some ice cream and some chocolate covered nuts etc, only dark chocolate and fat free icecream/ sorbert, maybe brownies or cake if someone brings me one of their leftover ones (alot of people seem to do taht..)



bedtmie schak:

a snadwich or something easy along with a burito and some kiwis or ornages, maybe apples



i go to bed and wake up four hours later and get really hingry, really hungry so i eat some ceral, maybe an omplette, a coup[ple of slimquicks to get me through the night, an ensure smoothie and a coupple of bowls of oatmeal.



so im clinically obese, 478 pounds. i ate like this all my life,. as a professional athlete i ate arround 12,000 calories a day, and got a sports injury and never stopped eathing taht way. i crap and piss ever 30 munites it seems, and my stomach is constantly empty! ive been rying to loose this weight for a while so i can go back to training and runing etc, but to no avail.

i taled to my doctor- she says my heart is superhealthy, and my cholestorol is sill in a great range!? yeat im obese?... hmm... she now tells me to eat between 500-800 calories a day, honey i work as a resturant chef and i cook homemade meals ebveryday bwecasue i cant stand most fastfood/storebought stuf! (most of tue stuff on this list is gomemade, i even mix flakes and nuts and grains to mkae my own ceral!)

so how on eARTH am i supposted to do this!? my belly is literally empty between meals. i told my doctor how terrible it was and that i couldnt stop. she said i still ahve a superfast metabolism, to stick to 500-800 calories a day, and that my insulin levels were causing most of the hunger. biut even when i ate a very low glycemic array of foods amnd monotered my insulin ( ive had alot of experiance with sugar and insulin levels during training) i still get superhungry!



at 24 its been a real bother, ive been like thsi for over 2 years now, and i keep gaining,. but what can i do1?

and how can i only eat 500-800 a day without putting myself into keosis or a catabolic state?! i wat to keep my muscle for the season of 20011, when hopefully il be back in.. but i need help1

Well being that you were an athlete im sure you have some kind of self-control and to lower you eating habits in such a drastic way its going to take every bit of self control. One way to help is to not have so much high calorie food at home and not to have as much food at home period so that there wont be a lot accessible. You would have to go to the grocery store more but then you wouldn't have as much to always get your hands on. You could also find some kind of hobby or activity to keep your mind off eating, like taking a class at a community college, volunteering or some other kind of activity. When you get the urge to binge eat you could go take a walk or something else like that.So my doctor told me to eat 500-800 calories a day?!ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how can i possibly do this?!!?
How about learning to spell first, fatty.



Anyone with common sense knows that's too much food, eaten too often, all in one day. You must be so damn stupid.

You had me at cinnamon bun.
I believe that your addicted to eating and that it's an unhealthy habbit. You sound like your bored, not hungry. Find a healthy hobby. Get a puppy, take it for walks. Get outside and try not to think about your next meal before you finish your first one.
That's dangerous. You should probably go 1100 to 1500, go lower/good carb, more proteins. Maybe check out something like ';Biggest Loser'; books. They have a whole series out. If you have discount places near you (like Sam's Club, near me) you can get them like 1/2 the price of book stores.
It sounds like your doctor wants you to go on a detox diet, this is a kind of diet that just about keeps you going but not much more than that, if you can do it then the weight will drop off quickly, you have to see a doctor before you do this but as your doctor told you to do it then i guess its ok, you can find out about detox diets and how to do it at the detox diet site

Breakfast - Cereal / Egg's / Oatmeal



Snack - Slim fast Bar



Lunch - PB and Jelly on Wheat / Piece of Chicken Breast



Dinner - Chicken / Anything LEAN / Fish, etc.



Just slow down on the eating, get busy, Walk on a treadmill...



NO High carb foods. If you treat yourself, eat it in proportion.

Sounds like you should get a second opinion. I can't imagine a doctor telling anyone to take in between 500-800 calories a day when 2000 would still cause weight loss.



If it's your insulin levels that are the problem, which in part is, then look into a low carb diet. I prefer the Paleo Diet. Meat, some fruit, lots of non starchy veggies. No calorie counting.
